Ocotillo

.Ocotillo is a desert plant of the American southwest but is not a cactus. This Ocotillo was photographed in Joshua Tree National Park at the Ocotillo Patch, an area where hundreds of these grow. The mountains in the background are the Hexie Mountains. Most of the Ocotillos were blooming when we visited.
