Mulch-making
This is the city's compost and mulch processing facility. Wood chips from various tree trimming and landscaping projects, including private citizens, are ground into smaller fiber for gardening use. The public can load up on this end-product free of charge.
An entertaining side effect, at least for people like me who occasionally drive through the area just for fun, are the many goose nests on top of the soft mounds of mulch They have Lake Ewauna and a small pond on the other side of this property, so it's prime nesting/hatching area for the Canada geese of the town.
