Presumably my dad's trophy. Or, my Grandfather's. It could just as well be a Chinook or Steelhead salmon. They're hard for me to tell apart in B&W, but it's definitely a male. (Big, hooked jaws.) Mmm, what I wouldn't give to have that fella in my freezer!

Hi Diane. Hope you had a good holiday season. Nice to see this photo - obviously it was worth the person taking the photo!

Sorry I haven't been commenting on photos much in the past few months. Seems i'm taking more time with helping the ima team than enjoying the place recently. Perhaps a goal for this year would be to put more into photography and sharing here.

enjoyed in 'naturey crap - crappy nature' - i appreciate you thinking of and adding to the group

Thank you, raingirl! I know that feeling. When I became a Google Earth Forum moderator I had the same experience. No time for looking for things and posting my research.

Thank you, Gunter, I'm glad you enjoyed it. I also searched for the approximate translation of Petri Heil, because Google didn't translate it. Something like "Good luck with your fishing!" Is that correct?
