Mt. Shasta

Mt. Shasta
Mt. Shasta is in California. I'm standing on a hill in Oregon. The Yurok tribe's name for the mountain is Úytaahkoo or "White Mountain."

kiiti, Annemarie, John FitzGerald, Pam J and 4 other people have particularly liked this photo

Very nice indeed Diane...........the snow capped mountain looks quite magnificent, even from a distance.

Shasta is part of the chain of volcanoes from Alaska, through western Canada to southern California. It's deemed "potentially active," though no one thinks about it except vulcanoloists, I guess. Thank you, Keith.

Do you mean the border? No, the border is about 20 miles (32 km) beyond that.

I love drinking mineral water from this mountain spring.

Made in Japan is dangerous because of the hidden taste of cesium.

Oh! Well, I'm glad you enjoy it. I just drink tap water. What does cesium taste like?

I have been this water for about 15 years. (very delicious !!)
Made in Japan cannot be drunk because it may be radioactively contaminated. (Normally disguised as a production area)

It is a favorite including a bottle.
