The occasional celebrity does pass through here, you know. We're not complete savages.

Not only that, he has to go around looking "like a huge golden grub. King Tut."

(Oops, I might be thinking of someone else...I get those emperors mixed up...)

I really loved all kinds of roller coasters but I hated this kind of swing! I always got very sick, especially at the deadlock when I got the feeling that my stomach wants to leave my body ;-)

Lol! I was a pretty - vomit-free kid, but I doubt that's true now! One of my brothers always threw up, so he wasn't allowed to go on this kind of ride, or the people below him would be VERY angry. ;-o

I didn't know that was called deadlock. Do you mean the second between when it reaches its apex, then begins to fall?

Yes, exactly! I don't know exatly how to name it. In German we call it "dead point". "deadlock" I got from the translator. Not to mix with "dreadlocks" :-D
(By the way: this was one of my favorite songs: Dreadlock Holidays by 10CC) :-)

I remember that, but the Bob Marley version, called "I Don't Like Cricket." Party music!

I've never seen the excitement in rides as I know they are safe.

Usually. We have so many huge theme parks that there is an occasional malfunction and even death.

Disgusting? But, it's so classy! Weird, yes. Is that supposed to be a boat? A Tut see-gar?

King Tut as a figurehead is a tad surreal--

Hmmm ... last time I saw King Tut was in Ft Lauderdale, Florida -- and not outside. Like this one best ... we weren't supposed to 'touch' any displays .. not fun, but understand all the fingerprints that would have deposited oil on him... but, he has long been dead ... only matters to living peeps..
