B/W for me. The scenery is quite stark and suits the B/W format perfectly. I love the high contrast look to this shot.

Thanks, Keith! B&W seems to work well on a lot of scenes that are otherwise too stark or ordinary...which often describes the landscape around me. ;-b

Lol! Yes, Marj, but everything is spread out over a large territory, so most people drive rather than walk. In this town, there are never crowds walking along the sidewalk. You have to go to big cities for that, or popular tourist areas.

I don't care too much for b/w but I make an exception here! A much better image than the colour one!

I prefer the mono, too, although, like Andy, I usually prefer colour. The b/w brings out the harmonious composition and the added fill light clarifies the details. It's a classic of new topographics.

I love the bw, it suits the mood and has great detail.

The B&W could have been taken with an old Zeiss Ikoflex or Rolleiflex...
can't get much better than that :)
