WooHOO! Blue sky after smokey weeks!

No smoke whatsoever! The first clear blue day in three weeks! I went outside, I smiled at the sky, I could see the hills, I took a deep breath. The wind changed, now from the east and I hope it lasts.

It's been mostly like this - smoke!


8 PM update: There is a new fire close to town about 8 mi. north. Grrr! Fortunately in a sparsely populated area.

Update 31 Aug: It has gotten much worse, I try not to go out at all. Two large hay barns started the fire north of me, which has spread to the timber up and over the steep hill above it:

In general, the fires south and west of us have gotten bigger. The fire crews are overwhelmed.
