What did it bottle?
Doesn't look as if it has been functioning for some time.

... beer, Andy, beer !! ... "Oly" was (is?) an iconic northwestern US staple ...
(Olympia lager, founded in the 1890's, but then purchased by a series of mega-brewers starting in the 1980's ... who knows how the original recipe has been perverted/degraded since then ...)

The only American beer I know is the only one we see in Europe, the ubiquitous B.......r
(I can't even bring myself to spell out its name). It is awful. No taste, no nothing and as bland and weak as a kick by a bluebottle. They can take me to court for defamation if they like but it is true.
Give me the real Budvar from The Czech Republic any time! A beer with character.
If Oly had a only 10th of the flavour of Budvar, its loss would have been grievous indeed!

Beer. I don't think it's still in business.

I think all the beer companies are now owned by the giant corporations, now. On the other hand, I don't really know anything about beer news! ;-b

I know it's awful and about 1/2 of Americans know it's awful. Hence, the development of small breweries, which are thriving all over the country. Even big chain grocery stores have about half their beer shelves full of obscure little brands, as well as weaker versions of Euro beers. I don't drink beer, anymore, but I do remember that Olympia, Budweiser, Coors and Miller tasted about the same in the 1980s. In addition, there are many "bargain brands" that are gag-worthy.

... nice shot: it evokes a feeling of desolation ... receding perspective: the empty street stretches away ...

... the lines and windows on the Olympia warehouse are an attractive vignette ...
