Most magnificent showman in history

Most magnificent showman in history
THIS IS NOT my photo. It is a shareable vintage photo from TIME.com with this caption:
"A giant snowman measuring 17 ft., made by two girls in Aberdeen, Scotland, Jan. 3, 1963." I have added my own coloring and texture. I wanted something hilariously weird for my winter homepage photo and surely this is it.

, Larry He's So Fine, Tanja - Loughcrew, Andy Rodker and 7 other people have particularly liked this photo

That must be the year there was a snowstorm on Easter, here. So much for my yellow dotted swiss dress and patent leather shoes.

Well, certainly tall and leaning ...

It sort of out-sizes the SnowBear I made ... but mine was really cool.
If I can find the film shot, will scan and post ! Yes, it was in film days !

Oh, I have boxes of them from the film age. Where they are this minute I'm not sure. I'd love to see it!

Oh....looks like the leaning tower of pisa! ;)
Those girls took the snow of the whole town..that´s funny..and you did a great job Diane ;)

I thought about that, too. Maybe their dad was the local snow-plow operator, because there surely isn't enough snow in that yard!

Perhaps Aberdeen was settled by people from Easter Island.

HAHA! Excellent theory, John! And, there's still the age-old question: how did those little girls tip it upright? (Well, kind of upright.)

Lol! Thanks, poly!

I was wondering the same. I have a feeling there is a tall tree stump under there, which would explain the wacky angle. Or, Dad was on the sauce again!
