The nostalgia for me is to see the word 'gallons'!
I forgetin which year the UK switched to litres but it was a while ago. Still, many of my age and upwards still talk in terms of gallons and mpg, etc. Nice shot.

That switch was attempted here in the late '70s, but the public completely ignored it and manufacturers labeled things both ways to make both consumers and the gov't happy. So, we still use the old measuring units except in the fields of science, medicine and foreign car repair. Everyone has somehow agreed that those big plastic soft drink bottles are called Liters, but I think that's the only product that is so designated by the public.
