Converted old Jeep

Converted old Jeep
This might be the earliest Jeep, which was 1941. olive-drab.com/images/jeep_mbgpw_01_700.jpg Or, any other suggestions?

If it's a Jeep, the right front of the hood has been altered and I believe the metal roof is custom. Weren't they all cloth tops at that time?

Nice! As always I like the rust......and in this case also the colour of the grasses. Interesting image Diane.

Thank you, kind sir. Yep, the grass that day looked especially swell!

Looks Jeep but bigger than the first ones. A neighbour of a business I had had an early 50s jeep (needing restoration) which looked like the one here

You're right, the early '40s ones I saw online made the drivers look huge! Kind of comical, really.

Considering the color and the text on the side, it might have been a military vehicle and the companies made various adaptations for military specs.

I think it's a Willys Overland pickup, which did have a hard top and was closely related to Jeep. The roof here looks to have been hardened. See: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Willys_Jeep_Truck

Ah, that makes sense, Don. The hard top puzzled me because all the early ones I saw had cloth. It does look very much like the Overland, but wonder why this one is snub-nosed. I guess an adaptation of some kind.

Recycling is not quite fashionable in your area Diane.
