Yep, puts you in the flow restriction mood, huh? Wait, that didn't sound right...

Good shot -- is this one of the one's that was going to be removed?

Yes, but it was postponed indefinitely. Apparently, results have shown promise on the ones blown up already. If this one goes, it's bye-bye river through south Klamath Co., so very little water for the farms in that area. As you probably know, it's been a very contentious issue around here. I'm not especially on one side or the other. It's hard to be with so much at stake for each faction. I will say that I love salmon and am not crazy about beef.

I just recently read a long article about the long struggles between various factions that came up with a plan. Unfortunately, the plan needed some federal funding and congress didn't give it, which means the plan may die. I've mixed feelings about irrigation and food issues, but lean towards living within some reasonable limits which means cutting our water-intensive feed cattle operations way back.

Agreed! Our high meat consumption is a big problem, not only in the US, but in places like Brazil, and I get the feeling that it has gradually reduced over time. Trouble is, the population keeps growing, too.

An impressive picture with its moody lighting. It's even better when viewed large, I think.
