Goodness me, from a certain age I hated kid's table! We had a few elderly relatives who insisted on placing you there even as a teenager which was quite a blow to one's self esteem;-)

Argh! The kids' table as a teenager? Horrible torture, Gudrun! I think in most families, this started because the dining tables weren't big enough to serve everyone who came, so it made sense to segregate the little heathens. I hated it mostly because I was the only girl most of the time (the two blonde girls are friends of the family - I have three younger brothers). Oh, the things we used to put up with, eh?

Yes - those were the days in the 50th.... ;))

It's so funny that the Kids' Table seems to have been universal! I'll bet not in Italy, though, lucky kids. We should ask Gabi. : )

We had the kids table too in Canada. Ha ha family gatherings had a lot of Aunts and Uncles and Cousins so as mentioned above no room at the main table for everybody. 8-))
