World Photography Day 2022
For the WPD I wanted to "honor" something really old - and I didn't find anything older!
The Gallo-Roman camp "Rubricaire" is known from a text from the 2nd century AD, copied in the 11th century, and transmitted, without alteration, by tradition and popular language. This fortress contains scattered dwellings and baths.
What I show here had been the thermal baths. Outside the fortress, 25 m below, stand these ruins. The "balneum" included the ordinary services: cold baths, steam room and hot baths.

I've always been puzzled why so few members think that a sense of location, geography, and history of a place is of no interest. To me, these details anchor a good shot even more firmly in my enjoyment of it!

For exemple, normally I use "DuckDuckGo": there it's impossible to map a photo in Ipernity, I always have the following message: "Cannot read the network response. Please check that your internet access is working properly". This is why I use "Vivaldi" when I load photos in my gallery - there is no problem to map them!
This is why I think that probably a few users have the same problem and are unable to map their photos.
