➽ Der Sheridan Park ist ein neuer Stadtteil im Westen von Augsburg, der auf dem Gelände der ehemaligen amerikanischen Sheridan-Kaserne liegt. Das Motto des Sheridan-Parks ist "Wohnen, Arbeiten, Wohlfühlen".

➽ Noch vor dem Zweiten Weltkrieg war das Gelände der Sheridan Kaserne landwirtschaftlich genutzt. Zur Zeit der Weimarer Republik plante man hier das Zentralkrankenhaus von Augsburg zu bauen. Diesen Plänen stand aber die nationalsozialistische Aufrüstungspolitik im Weg. Das Gelände wurde für den Bau von Kasernen verwendet. Von 1945 bis 1998 wurde die Kaserne von der U.S. Armee genutzt.

➽ Sheridan Park is a new city district in the west of Augsburg, which is on the site of the former American Sheridan barracks. The motto of the Sheridan Park is "living, working, feeling good".

➽ Even before the Second World War the area of Sheridan barracks was used for agriculture. During the Weimar Republic the Central Hospital of Augsburg was planed on this area. These plans however were a hindrance to the Nazi rearmament policy. The site was used for the construction of barracks. From 1945 to 1998, the U.S. Army used the site of the Wehrmacht barracks.
