"Die evangelische Französische Kirche in Potsdam (französisch Temple de Potsdam) ist ein Spätwerk des Architekten Georg Wenzeslaus von Knobelsdorff. Im Edikt von Potsdam (1685) hatte der Große Kurfürst den aus Frankreich geflohenen Hugenotten eine neue Heimat in Preußen angeboten. 1752/53 wurde die Kirche für die allmählich wachsende französisch-reformierte Gemeinde Potsdams errichtet."
