As the mist starts to lift of the rock we can enjoy the real view from here. A wonderful spot to walk and gaze.

As the sun dips to the horizon, its time for just a bit more fishing as well as a snap from yours truly.

There are many kinds of fences, some more practical than others. Here we see a fence of two wires and three post. Purpose and practicality ??? - Seen in the middle of a lake ( Las Salinas) in the town of Calp, Spain.

Good morning from Altea, Spain. As the sun rises above the horizon a new day is said to begin but actually it bagan almost an hour back with the first signs of dawn just around the big outcrop of Peñón d'Ifach that you can see here on your left. As on that day, the fence shows us the way to go. I wish you all a HFF. ps, PiP's here too!

Love it or hate it, Benidorm has something for most people, including me! This is looking North from the Balcon de Mediterraneo. Behind the city-scape is the splendid walking area of the Sierra Helada Natural Park. I must admit that these building have caused me to have some problems trying to possibly make sure that they were all straight and then correct that. In the end, I just left alone and put it down to my eyes!

The River Algar in Altea is very often dry, Here we see it with some water as it is Winter and the rainy season. Some days later it was to become almost flooded after several nights of torrential rain. You can see in the background part of the Sierra Bernia mountains. See pips for mono and mountain views.

Now this is South Spain -it rarely if ever sees snow but here it is lying on the mountains just behind our apartment here at Cap Negret, Altea. Taken in the Golden Hour, giving this shot that little extra. Enjoy large.

Sea waves lulled into mist on a holiday beach.

This beautiful and massive limestone outcrop is a real treat when looking at it over the sea from a distance but up close as here in Calp it shows its real beauty. It climbs to 332 metres asl which at 1086ft is approx the same height and steepness here as The North face of Eiger!

Seen on a walk on a little street in the Costa Blanca. Of course the bougainvilea really makes this.

Just to demonstrate that some fences have multiple uses. Here I am in Cap Negret near Benidorm in Spain and its clear that further up this minor road the post man does not care to go, and so in typical US fashion they have all left their post boxes here on a neighbours fence. I wonder if the dog at number 24 gets his fair share?

As unbelievable as it may sound -this shot is entirely natural. A grey day here in Altea today and as the sun goes down there is suddenly a blast of directional sun from the right, lighting up these clouds. As I later, ran around the block to catch the red sunset in its entirety, all I got was some moments of red glory marred by buildings. Ah well -enjoy! ps notice the moon on here too.

As the night turns slowly to day, I take the rare chance of capturing the sun rising. Normally the fist sight of the sun is the most exciting and best thing to photograph but in this case I like this pre-sunrise better. The dark blue of the night sky turning to a blood-red just around the famous Penyal d'Ifac at Calpe is a crowning point to rest my eye on. Enlarged, one can easily make out the night fishing boats with their lights. Tech info: 34mm Nikon at F7, 1/6th sec iSO 1250, tripod mounted.

An internal look at this very beautiful church of La Mare de Déu del Consol' (Our Lady of Solace). Perched high above this historic white old town the bright and fancy architecture is a joy to behold.

On the shores of Platja L'Olla looking North East we see here an old winch. Long since gone rusty, no doubt to hoist boats like this onto the foreshore. Maybe it still works as someone does not want it to be used or moved hence the locks.

Now this fellow really takes his busking seriously. We don't see that many with such a professional mic and music stand. Taken near the old church high above the town. He played standards as well as Spanish classical stuff.
