We have now arrived on the headland known as the ‘Point of Stoer’. It is home to the Stoer Lighthouse and this wonderful stack, called ‘The Old Man of Stoer’, a very popular climbing goal.

We were some years ago at Isle of Skye and saw there "The old man of the Storr", who is also very impressive, but the one in Sutherland is much more awsome, because it is next to the sea.
