Memories of Tuscany: Boulevard of Maritime Pines
Enjoy a short stretch here of this wonderful avenue of pines. I originally believed this to be the famous Viale dei Cipressi (Boulevard of Cypresses) near Bolgheri as we were quite close to that.
I did originally title this the Boulevard of Cypresses. Thanks to our fellow Ipernity friend Annalia S. (below) for kindly pointed out my error.
As usual, best viewed in full screen.

Herb Riddle club has replied to Joe, Son of the Rock clubKeep safe. Herb
It looks so inviting and I love the lighter greens where the sun reaches them.
Have a good weekend. Rosa.
Herb Riddle club has replied to Rosalyn Hilborne clubPs this was just around the corner of that more famous avenue with the solid white lines :) Herb
eine wunderschöne Anlage.
Schöner Fotoblick.

However, something is the matter with your identification of the site. These are not Cypress but Maritime Pines (Pinus Pinaster). Cypress are tall and slender trees (in fact there is a young one in your picture, to the right of the avenue). The ones that go from Bolgheri to San Guido were made famous by a poem by Giosuè Carducci, one of our most revered poets, that begins with an image of them: "I cipressi che a Bolgheri alti e schietti van da San Guido in duplice filar". You can find a photo of them here: it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Davanti_San_Guido
I feel that the misidentification takes nothing away from your beautiful image, but I used to be a teacher for a good part of my life and my teacherly instinct simply won't let me keep from pointing it out ... Sorry!
Hope you are having a great weekend!
Herb Riddle club has replied to Annalia S. clubAnnalia, we are both very grateful in you pointing out our error here and I am most gratified that you still enjoyed the photo of the now obvious 'Maritime Pines'. For both these things I pass on my heartfelt thanks.
Best Wishes, Herbert & Eileen
Our further GE research now points to one of the other avenues of the real Boulevard of Cypresses as we could not stop our car on that more famous avenue that we did indeed drive down.- Things have got a bit mixed up over the years :)
