Silver threads amongst the gold

Silver threads amongst the gold
A view of this most beautiful silver-birch tree on my favourite walk. It seems almost impossible that the silver trunk and branches can be natural but they are caused by the bark pigment reflecting the bright sunshine today. Seen on the round walk of Dovestones reservoir here in Greenfield. The tower on the hill is the local TV relay tower. I have included the wall as a nice curved lead-in to the centre of attraction here.

Hi again Keith and once again we share feelings about a favorite subject here. In practice there are four fantastic lone trees in this area, all of which I do frequent visits to, to see if I can catch them differently from the last time. This is perhaps the easiest one to access as it on the 'softies' circular track around Dove Stones reservoir. Light of course -plays its part here as you can see the differences between this and Toz's shot (see link above).
