Kyle of Durness at sundown
We have always been great lovers of Scotland and so have traveled and holidayed up there whenever we could. This was Summer 2014 and this time we got up to the Northern highlands. We had a week on the very top Northwest coast about 15km from this spot at a small village called Durness. Enjoy my memory and pleasure of it here in this photo.

Sure are some grand places in Scotland. Although I have seen a lot there is much more to do yet. This was a fantastic place so I hope to post some more here soon. We are having a few days there in Winter!!!

This is one of those few captures that conveys beauty in both the sheer landscape and the lighting too. There are many hues at this time but it went better for a super sunset.

A marvellous image, Herb. We have very pleasant memories of actually staying in a B&B very near Durness. The young son of the owner could not imagine why I was unable to pronounce the rrrrrrrrolling RRRR in Durness! :-)

The light on the mountains is, as Rosa said, stunning. The sky, the vibrant green colours in the foreground, and the reflected light on the water are also gorgeous.

After posting some startling colour landscapes on here, I thought that this soft highland scene suited now. The colours on this landscape was indeed breath-taking my friend. As said above, I hope to post some more of this area shortly. Of course, delighted that you also enjoyed it.
