Moon Behind Clouds

Moon Behind Clouds
its not easy being an Astro photographer. to get the best effect of a Super Moon you need some foreground to show the size. mine was taken away by clouds lets hope tomorrows Super moon will be less clouds.. But do look at this shot on black as large as possible.

Special K, Marco F. Delminho, Berny, Peter_Private_Box and 15 other people have particularly liked this photo

A great sky, Steve. With rain showers fairly constant tonight I haven't even gone out to look.

hard to believe you got rain of all things, second night I was setting up the tracker from the back yard to try the result moon & light pollution. the biggest killer was the moon light being full, It tells me I can shoot from my back yard when there is no moon but mu view of the sky is very small the trees and higher house stop high numbers of shots.at least I can still do some thing locked at home. you stay safe over Easter.

Fantastic effects here of the light of the Moon above the clouds Steve .. this is along the lines of my view when looking out of the window at 4.00am but on seeing the cloud did not bother with a shot .. seems i missed out

Best wishes and stay safe

Steve I almost gave up when I looked at all the clouds but thought I have been lucky with the moon so this time some one else is. I liked the look of this shot with the clouds glowing from the light full size you see just what I mean. at 4 am I would have gone back to bed as well.

you stay healthy and safe in these troubled times and follow all the guidelines much like we are.

Hi Steve

Funnily enough, I had a sky like this on the same day!
I went out the day after for the 'Pink Supermoon', but a little limited as to where I could go to get some suitable foreground. In the end I chose the cemetery.. (And went suitably equipped with wooden stake.. just in case!)
Picture may follwo soon.

Best Wishes, a happy Easter, and stay safe!!

I know what you mean by clouds it was quite funny It was clear next night but I had already set up in my back yard to try some deep space photos. the moon in my yard comes up behind the bank of trees and our strict travel I did not want to go out. As it is there a a few spaces close to here I will try and go out but leave a little later when less cars on the road so did not want to use my chances up. they fined a learner driver just going out for some driving experience she never set out to stop any where so she was home in her own car all the time.

I like the Idea of the cemetery you would have some great foreground interest for the moon. the idea of taking a stake does make me smile. I keep getting asked by my wife am I not frightened going out at night of the spirits. in truth the only Australian I have ever met at night hopped away as I came close, plenty of frogs.

you keep safe and enjoy your photography as best you can.
