It is the forerunner of the Corvette.

This was a "concept car" with a fiberglass body, and was never a production Buick model. 1954 was the first model year of the Corvette. They were made in Flint for several years. The 1954 Corvette body was almost identical to this one, except for the holes on the side (a Buick characteristic) and slightly different taillights.
