Baby wrens - 27 June 2020
This is the last photo I got of the babies. Their mother fed them in the evening, and the next morning, they were gone. There was no evidence of foul play, no damage to the nest, so I suppose they are hopping around in bushes somewhere. I wish them well. The usual incubation period for Carolina wrens is 12-14 days. Time from hatching to leaving the nest is another 12-14 days, so they were overdue to leave the nest. Ref: www.animalspot.net/carolina-wren.html
