Pineapple flowers

Pineapple flowers
I now have five pineapple plants in bloom. This is the most advanced of them. There are many tiny ants crawling on the flowers. I don't know if they pollinate the flowers.

Looking good Ronald, Are they the tops of previous fruits?

Thanks, Maurice. Yes, all the plants were grown from the crowns of previous fruits. It can take several years for a plant to become strong enough to make fruit. I need to bring them into the house for a few months in the winter.
