This is formed using the original photo of the stems and leaves of Crocosmia 'Lucifer'. I used Photoshop to create a swirl to what was a somewhat boring image.

I used to have a Crocosmia Lucifer, lasted quite a few years, but not sure what got it in the end, they have the most splendid colour. Nicely abstracted here.
