Hiya folks, my holiday is almost over, but I must say - it hasn't been as wonderful as I'd hoped - in weather ways I mean!!! It has been so hot - 34C - 37C every day with up to 85% humidity!!!! I find it hard to breathe some days, so we don't go out every day. Today, however, we did go out for a swim. We were so hot, inside as well as out, that only a swim could cool us down. So we drove to the hotel, and as luck would have it, there was a spare parking space in the car park. So we were in luck. I only had a short walk to the pool. We didn't even stop to have a quick lie on the loungers, we just got into the water immediately. Oh bliss - it was heavenly. In no time at all I was cooling down inside as well as out, and I could have stayed there for ever. I laid back and floated with my pool noodle supporting me. Mandi was also floating to cool down when I heard an English voice enquiring whether I'd like another pool noodle. I didn't but I did thank her very much, and we got talking. Apparently she's been living in Turkey for 22 years, having lived in Cyprus for 11 years before, so to call her an ex-pat seemed strange - seeing as how she hadn't lived in the UK for quite a while. After a while we discovered that she was one of the Administators of an ex-pat on-line newspaper, giving help and advice. Mandi had worked as one about 2 years ago but had to stop when she became ill. What a small world. Now Mandi and this lady, Sarah, have arranged to meet up in the near future. That will be great for Mandi.

Just before we left, one of the holiday makers tied up a huge floating flamingo!!!!

It kept looking at me with one of its beady eyes!!!!!

Every day, when I leave the house, I am met by a lovely little cat, we've called Batman (despite it being a female!!) who wants nothing but a cuddle and stroking. She is so gorgeous, and if I could, I'd take her home with me.

Well tonight, I felt there was probably going to be a nice sunset, so I crept outside and sat on the couch outside, immediately joined by Batman who wanted to cuddle in and I waited for the gorgeous sunset..

As you can see the colours are very vivid, such a shame that the actual display only lasted about 10 minutes. Still, Batman got lots of cuddles and strokes, while I clicked away at this wonder infront of me.

I'm so glad I was able to witness this glorious painted sky. Well tomorrow, the two little kittens may be going to their new homes and we are all going to miss them so much. They are running around everywhere and are a delight to have. I'd miss them anyway as I'm leaving to go home, but for Mandi and Dogan, it will be worse because they've had them here since they were born.

Okay, I'll try and send some more pictures soon. Take care and have a great weekend.
