Italian tenor Tito (Attilio) Schipa was first to record the classic "Quiereme Mucho" (Gonzalo Roig - Augustin Rodriquez) in 1922. In 1931 "Yours" (Roig - Gamse - Sherr) was given the English lyric by Albert Gamse and Jack Sherr).
The tune didn't become a hit until 1941 when it was issued by the Jimmy Dorsey Orchestra with vocalists Bob Eberly (Eberle) and Helen O'Connell. "Yours" (Gonzalo Roig - Jack Sherr) peaked at number two on Billboard.
