Our dead season is Summer because of the extreme heat, over 40ºC almost all the time... Green and then flowers come after first rains in October/November... Our Winter is mild and flowery.

So do I. I went to see some friends who have a sushi restaurant tonight. Desolation: you enter masked, have to clean up hands, no more cushins on the chairs (its the new law), cristal separating all the tables, half of the capacity gone (its the law) and obliged to close at 23:00, like curfew... I came back home totally depressed: what is the pleasure of eating in such conditions?

That's so depressing, Isabel. All the news here keeps fear-mongering so people think they are going to die if they touch or breathe. It's complete insanity.

I can only hope that after a while people will demand to return things to how they used to be so they can be enjoyable again. Like you say, what's the pleasure with it that way.

When I came back a friend texted me she was in a bar with her husband and there was live music. As I described her what I had just experienced she invited me to join (having asked if they would allow me in as it was close to midnight...) and they opened the door just for me. Inside except for the waiters wearing masks all seemed normal. I had a gin-tonic and at 02:00 am we were walking on the empty streets enjoying the warm night...
I came home in a good mood. Hope more situations like that will occur more and more.
Living on desinfection in a weird world all the time is not for me, I'd rather die.

Well captured , - I do forget how different the seasons are in other countries Isabel. Over here there has been some relaxing of the rules and some non essential shops are now open, but I think restaurants and bars etc are still closed. I have stopped listening to the news as it is so scary and depressing. Next week we plan to go out for some fresh air and to walk for the first time in what feels like forever. YES!! HFF and have a good weekend.
