The reixa door is a particular variety of the louver door, mainly found in the South of Portugal, namely in the city of Tavira.
A louver (American English) or louvre (English) is a window blind or shutter with horizontal or diagonal slats that are angled to admit light and air, but keep out direct sunshine, and noise. The angle of the slats is usually fixed.
