Helsinki Central Railway Station (3) - 31 July 2016

The architecture of Helsinki Central Railway Station (Eliel Saarinen, 1919) makes it worth a visit even for those with little or no interest in railways nor, perhaps, even an intention to travel. The monumental style links National Romanticism and Functionalism.

The four -sided clock tower on the east side of the main station building is a prominent city landmark.
