Diving in the Andaman Sea

The start of our diving tour to Ko Tarutao National Park in Southern Thailand was overshadowed by a very sad event: On the day we left Phuket and Patong Bay, the diving boat "DIVE ASIA I" capsized and sank in a heavy storm on the way back from the Similan Islands. Our heart is with the seven victims who died under unfortunate circumstances. The power of the sea is always more greater than human beings.
I post this set for all my friends from the diving trip and for all friends of this amazing sport. I apologize for not writing long descriptions of every photo but I'll answer any questions you may ask me about the tour and the diving conditions in the Andaman Sea.
It's a great pity that the fishermen at Sea do not understand the importance of limiting the amount of their catch in order to protect and preserve the variety and survival of the various species. We could not see any sharks anymore due the overfishing. It is a pity that sharks are caught for stupid chinese dishes like shark fin soup. Black, White and Silver tip sharks have become very rare in these waters, and we have only seen these species in Burmese, but not in Thai waters anymore.
Not too long ago, the Thai and Andaman Sea was full of fish and it was the natural food base for Thais - this will soon be over.
