Idyllic scenery in the temple complex

Idyllic scenery in the temple complex
The monastery's history is typical of many monasteries in Mongolia. With the founding of the Mongolian People's Republic in 1924. Tschobalsan took control of the country. Between 1937 and 1939, religious persecution became common and a political opposition began to form. Of the estimated 17,000 monks and nuns sent to work in the camps of Siberia, none were known to have returned. Almost all monasteries, like Baldan Baraivan, have been destroyed. At Baldan Baraivan, "The Yellow Temple," the entire surroundings were destroyed and only the ruins of the buildings remain.
