The trees that were planted when the street was narrowed, way back when, are now of quite an impressive size.

The tall building is the old Windsor Hotel, which was the tallest building in the city for many years (about 10 floors).

That's looking into Rosenstein's Bay (or what used to be called that -- I don't know what they call it now ... the Rosensteins used to own Brown's Island).

On the way to Brown's Island, if you take the long route, you come up to the edge of one of the farms. The area is a very odd combination of Canadian Shield rock outcrops along the shore and pretty good farmland just a few hundred metres inland.
