A sad sight

A sad sight
A dead Sparrowhawk found in the garden this morning - It may have hit the house as it was very close to the back door. Picture in Picture of details. It appears to have been a young bird. I have since seen an adult Sparrowhawk carrying prey over the house ( this is a regular sight) so there are still other young Sparrowhawks to be fed.

How sad but and it seems to happen a lot here in Spain, especially with pigeons.

Sometimes when they are after prey they may mis-judge the attack and a collision happens, only an autopsy might give some explanation what happened to this bird.
