Don't know the place and yet feel I should.
Where in Derbyshire is this? I'm guessing Glossop way or somewhere near the old Cat and Fiddle?
Was born in Derbyshire so have an interest!

Yes this is just north of Glossop on the route of the A628 Manchester to Sheffield via the Woodhead Pass - there is a long line of 5 Reservoirs one after the next the length of the valley to Woodhead. I'll add to the map

Great View Colin, Reminds me that I have planned a trip to Stanage Edge in the Spring.

A great time to visit Stanage Edge if you like the birdlife - Ring Ouzels on the top with Golden Plovers and Curlew. Redstarts and Pied Flycatchers down by the road and to Lees
