Was it OK when it finally flew away, John? What an amazing experience for you.

Yes Amelia, she was in fine form when she arrived also, why she came in is anybodies guess. She allowed me to pick her up but when I put her out she flew straight back in again. The window beside her and the door to my patio were open all the time as it was extremely hot that day so she could have flown away at any time.

I have had many birds of several species come in but this one certainly takes the cake.

A wonderful experience John. I would have loved to be there to see it. I have had sparrowhawks in the garden and they are magnificent birds.

Yes Ateve it truely was. Like you I often have them in my garden perching while waiting for unsuspecting dinners on the wing but for such a bird to freely enter a house and stay . . . .what can one say, incredible ?
