Beautiful Wild Soapweed (Saponaria officinalis) A01-03

Beautiful Wild Soapweed (Saponaria officinalis) A01-03
I have found these pretty flowering plants in several locations here, they are always growing in huge patches in sandy soil near the sea. This is just one of many areas on Strand Bakke showing how they grow, the soil here is sand at the top of our coastal hillside.
This particular area is where I found my Sand Lizard yesterday, amd at the same time last year.

Photographed on 08 01 2016 using;
Canon EOS 400D SLR Digital Camera and Tamron Tele macro Lens.

Maria Lovasz, , Majka, and 3 other people have particularly liked this photo

Thank you Ron, it is typical of our coast and beaches, true nature without 'Hot dog vendors' etc.

It has since been identified Ron, it is 'Wild Soapweed (Saponaria officinalis) '
