When I visited Winchester, I found this interesting parish boundary marker quite near where you took your photo of the almshouses.

Must be for st.Michael's Kingsgate and st.Maurice's.

I presume St. Mary Kalendar is all gone as there's no mention in Pevsner ; any
idea why Kalendar ?

I did a Google search on St Mary Kalendar, but didn't find anything other than references to the merger of the parishes. When I took the photo, I didn't even know what a parish boundary marker was, having never seen one before. Since then, I've become a co-admin of the Parish Boundary Marker group on F****r. Did you belong to that group? It's really a shame that F****r has become such a trainwreck -- there are lots of wonderful pictorial archives there, painstakingly curated, that are now going to languish, disappear, or be nearly impossible to access given the screwed up search function.
