st.sepulchre without newgate, london
the church was rebuilt in c. 1670 and from some angles the empty spaces and chequered floors remind one of dutch churches.. the windows went classical in 1790 and gothic in 1880. the aisle ceilings with their plaster birds are c17, the nave ceiling is of 1834. the church gets points for being open when I went there, but could be more friendly about access to tombs in the vestry area.
