Shier's Well, Levengrove Park, Dumbarton
Shiers Well is an important historic feature of this area. Tradition suggests that it was a holy well, perhaps linked to the nearby St Serf's Church, which itself dates from before 1226 AD. Quoted from the West Dunbartonshire Council website
