Flooded Dumbarton Quay
Taken with a Canon EF 24mm f/2.8 IS USM attached to a Fujifilm X-T1 via a Fringer EF-FXPro II adaptor.
The River Leven (Uisge Leamhna in Gaelic) is a stretch of water in West Dunbartonshire, Scotland, flowing from Loch Lomond in the North to the River Clyde in the South. The total length of the river is approximately six miles and is very popular with salmon and sea trout anglers, trying to catch one of these migratory fish going up to Loch Lomond. Rosalyn Hilborne club has replied to Joe, Son of the Rock clubJoe, Son of the Rock club has replied to Rosalyn Hilborne clubToday marks a year since the WHO, World Health Organization, declared Covid19 a pandemic. Since than there have been over 116 million cases and 2.5 million deaths across the globe. Some good news is 150 million vaccine doses have been given. There may be light at the end of the tunnel.
This morning, at the end of our daily walk, we were so happy to see that our local cafe in the village, Cafe XI, was open to serve takeaway drinks, fresh bread and milk and a limited number of other groceries. This is the first time in almost 3 months, and we thoroughly enjoyed our cappuccino while sitting outside on our patio enjoying some spring sunshine between the showers.
When cafes are finally open properly, we are also looking forward to sitting outside chatting to friends over a nice cup of coffee, Joe. We rarely sit inside as wearing two hearing aids means that I pick up excess noise and cannot follow conversations. ;-))
Joe, Son of the Rock club has replied to Amelia clubOur local coffee shops are open for takeaway only, but the restrictions on how many people from how many households you are allowed to meet prevent me from getting together with my pals for coffee. Hopefully this will change soon.
All the best,
Joe
