Wien / Vienna, Hofburg, Michaelertor
View from the courtyard "In der Burg" to the NE part of the Imperial Chancellery section of the Viennese Hofburg with the gate Michaelertor. In the round tower of the Michaelertor are the entrances to the Empress Sisi Apartments, the former Court Theatre (the forerunner of the Burgtheater), and private flats in which partly unknown but also partly well-known Austrian personalities lived or still live. One of the flats was inhabited by the Austrian composer Gottfried von Einem together with his wife and is still occupied by his widow, the writer Lotte Ingrisch.
