The Pudding House, Montacute.

This pavilion is one of two 'pudding houses' set into opposite corners of the East Court at Montacute House. The nickname comes from Tudor and Stuart times, when guests would retire here to enjoy their desserts after their meal.

The Wobbly Hedge!

The Wobbly hedge was planted in the 1850's at Montacute House and the unusual bumpy shape of the yews was caused by heavy snowfall in the winter of 1947, which caused it to collapse under the weight. It grew back naturally in this abstract shape. It was featured in Ang Lee's 1995 adaptation of "Sense and Sensibility".
