My daffs are flat on the ground because of the hard frosts, (-9C for the last 2 nights), and now covered in a few cms of snow too. Colourful though, Rosa. ;-))))

Not quite that cold here Amelia, -5 last night. We have a weather warning for 3pm today, so will wait and see what that brings!! A hard one for the daffs to recover from :(

If it can comfort you, at home also all the flowers are "burned" by frost and snow! But nature will quickly take over!!!!!

Thank you Nouchet :) They are very hardy but not sure they will recover this time.

It's just a little counter-time for vegetation, Rosa. Dafoddils will quickly retrieve their splendour ...

I hope so Pat. We still have the dwarf daffodils and tulips to flower. They will show themselves after this cold spell is over.

A great image Rosalyn, it fascinates me that a hint of frost kills some plants while others recover as soon as things warm up

Yes I thought that Peter. Still have a lot of daff's still to flower hopefully when this cold spell is over.

I am not sure they will Sarah! They are completely covered now. The dwarf daffodils are still to flower though and the tulips are just poking their leaves out. It was pretty rough last night with freezing rain which has settled on top of the snow! Very crunchy ;-)) Thank you for your lovely comments.
Have a good weekend. Best wishes, Rosa.

The photo is lovely! I hope that a covering of snow helps to insulate your daffs a bit!

Hi Rosa,

Diwrnod Dewi Sant Hapus!

And thank you for making the effort to find the daffodils to go with it!
Mine haven't blossomed yet. Such a nice photo.

Best Wishes

Hi Peter,

Snow on St David's Day! These poor daffodils are in my garden. I hope they survive the snow. We shall soon know. Pleased you like them.
