Ladybird
Today (March 25th) was the very first spring-like day we've had so far this year. Beautiful, sunny all day, and I saw 3 seven-spot ladybirds in our garden earlier today, which had all woken up in the sun.
This ladybird is examining the new blossom buds on our tree, whilst opening it's shell to dry off it's wings, ready to fly away.
In the afternoon, we went up to the cemetery where I saw several queen bumble bees buzzing around all the flowers, and with our clocks being put forward an hour late last night, we had an hour's extra daylight as well.
We've not to get too used to it just yet . . . . we are forecasted more of the nasty stuff this week!!!
