This is a National Park on the Columbia River Gorge, and we are incredibly happy that firefighters just saved it and the lodge from the Eagle Creek Fire.

Wonderful shot Laura! I was just there in May and amazingly it looks untouched by the fire. Most of the destruction can be seen on the upper plateau above the many waterfalls. I noticed many large burned tree trunks swirling in the pool below the lower falls.

You managed to find a parking spot! Well, maybe May is easier than in summer.
It does have the look of being untouched by fire, but that is partly because they have done a lot of cleanup. But it really was amazing that the firefighters kept this area as good as they did.
