This is an amazing shot! :) I was reading the EXIF - 64-seconds - yet the stars haven't moved very much... "Down here" I always seemed to get a lot more movement during long exposures. I wonder if it is because Iceland is on top of the world?!? (You can tell that I am keen to get another DSLR, can't you? :D)

I am so glad you like reading the exif :o) the stars do leave some strikes but sometimes they are more visible and I do not know why!!! AND yes I can, really hope you will get one soon!!! :o)

Well, it goes down to 6 hours BUT only for a short period... Having said that the winters sometimes seem so long and HARD here - the weather has f.ex. been boring this winter.. Snow (which is cool) and rain (NOT as cool) and snow and rain and snow and rain (hehehe) - so there has been a lot of wet days where everything looks so gray and dull BUT then again we have those beautiful cold night also which most surely make up for the dullness :o)

thanks Arnold and no BUT I see what you mean. The thing is that this was taken at F3,5 which makes the focus point a little shallow and the rest a little blurred... if I use higher Fnr the star trace is to much IMHO...

I know it's a hard decision when you are limited in your DOF in a shot like this. I guess you wanted to focus on the foreground...
