Going back many - many years....... is Pi'..... 22 over 7 ?

David, yes, 22/7 is a very rudimentary value of Pi. A bit more accurate is 355/113.
If you want it more precisely copy this number:
3.141592653589793238462643383279502884197169399

David, the approximation of 355/113 is easy to remember:
just take the first three odd numbers: 1 3 5
double them: 11 33 55
cut them in the middle: 113 / 355
and swap them: 355 / 113
that's it! :-)

David, yes, Pi is a fascinating number! It is an infinite number. And not only that. The order of decimal places is unique, that means, it will never be repeated!
Sleep well then ... or eat a Mars bar ;-)

Ahh, nee. Das Kreuz als Zeichen für "mal" kenne ich auch. Wir habe hier immer als Faustformel "Pi mal Daumen mal Fensterkreuz" gesagt. Kenst Du nicht das Fensterkreuz? Manche Fenster haben eins, manche nicht, wenn es eine ganze Scheibe ist.
