A smashing pair of before/after photos Neil..................and what a transformation..!!

It's amazing what can be done with a bit of T-cut and some elbow grease..!!

Thanks a lot, Keith.
Unfortunately there is usually a fallout with me using T-cut and elbow-grease. People tend to fallout with me as I have difficulty in mixing the two together ;-)

Marvellous image, if that were a Jigsaw puzzle I'd love a go at it, sure would keep me quiet for a few winter evenings.

Thank you, Maurice. I'm sure you are right about it making a good jigsaw. I don't know how I would find the time to do it though. I'm one of those who wishes there was 24 hrs in a night, as well as a day, so that I could get more done.

It reminds me of a few British jigsaws I did in my long ago childhood. Trains always came out well in the classic British illustration of the day. Or so it seemed to me.

It is not something which crossed my mind, John, but I'm sure you are correct. I think that was the intention by the manufacturers, as the subject matter appealed to both youngsters and well seasoned men, who never fulfilled their ambition of becoming a train driver ;-)
All railway jigsaws I can recall generally portrayed either a famous train or well known locomotive. Having said that, I now remember one of a small tank engine with just a couple of coaches at a small rural station.

A marvellous old engine. I'm reminded of all the old Hornsby trains.

Thanks for dropping by, George. Some of those OO Gauge locos are now selling for up to £200 for new and/or working used ones.
